The 8 Best Christmas Adverts Of All Time
With only a few days left till Christmas we have put together 8 of the best Christmas adverts of all time that will definitely make you smile, and get you in the Christmas spirit!
Here at Smile Design and Print we would like to wish all of you a very merry Christmas and a fantastic new year!
1) The Yellow Pages Advert, 1992
Aww. This classic Christmas advert was released in 1992, and shows a young boy using the then massive yellow pages book to reach up and kiss his crush. I’m not sure how well this love story would go in 2014 with the size of the yellow pages now!
2) Toys R Us, 1989
Although not overly Christmassy, this advert released in 1989, would only play between November and December, making us all associate the Toys R Us theme tune with Christmas, giving out that festive feeling!
3) New in 2014, Sainsbury’s moving advert, inspired by real events 100 years ago
Made in partnership with the Royal British Legion, the adverts commemorates the extraordinary events of Christmas Day 1914, when the guns fell silent and two armies met in no-man’s land, sharing gifts and even playing football together.
4) Irn Bru – I’m falling through the air
Irn Bru cleverly recreated one of the most famous Christmas movies and memorable songs, in a very amusing way. Released in 2006.

5) Kelloggs Cornflakes Waiting For Santa, 1990
Who could forget this Kelloggs advert aired in 1990, featuring this cute girl waiting for Santa.

6) Another new entry, It’s Monty the penguin for John Lewis 2014
Monty the penguin has been such a success that children (and adults) can get a Monty the penguin teddy! As well as Monty bedding, a hot water bottle, umbrellas, and even Monty the penguin cuff links! – http://www.johnlewis.com/christmas/shop-monty-mabel/c7000620002/pg-view-all

7) Marks & Spencer’s 2010 star studded Christmas musical
Moving away from that delicious food that never looked like the adverts when I cooked it.. It’s Marks & Spencers star studded advert, featuring Danii Minogue, Peter Kay, Twiggy, Lisa Snowdon and more.

8) Last but not least, The Coca Cola advert. It wouldn’t be Christmas with out it!
